Core Architectural Principle

At UploadRight, applicant privacy is built into our code at the hardware level: we do not collect, store, transmit, log, or inspect any photo, signature, thumb impression, or certificate that you format. All computations take place inside your device's web browser RAM.

1. In-Browser Client-Side Processing

Conventional document tools upload candidate files to cloud compute servers. This creates severe security and data privacy risks with government identity photographs and signatures.

UploadRight operates entirely within your local browser runtime via HTML5 Canvas, typed binary ArrayBuffers, and client-side JavaScript. When you drag and drop an image, its bytes remain inside your browser's private memory heap. Once you close the tab, the image bytes are immediately freed by your browser's garbage collector.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To provide complete transparency:

  • ✓We do not store your uploaded or cropped photographs.
  • ✓We do not collect names, dates of birth, roll numbers, or identity placard text.
  • ✓We do not transmit facial biometrics or signature vectors to any third-party API.
  • ✓We do not require user account registration, phone numbers, or email signups.

3. Advertising and Cookies

To keep UploadRight 100% free for students across India without subscriptions or paywalls, we display standard contextual advertisements served by third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense.

Third-party ad vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to display ads based on visits to UploadRight and other internet destinations.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ad Settings or using browser privacy controls.

4. Local Storage and Session State

UploadRight does not use persistent tracking cookies or store document metadata in localStorage. Session preferences (such as selected exam tab) are stored purely in transient memory for the duration of your tab visit and discarded immediately upon closing.
